Oh - not curses, necessarily... But the magic where I'm from can do a lot of different things. I don't think I've come across anything quite like your, um, situation, but it would probably be possible for someone to accomplish it with some kind of specialty.
A step above a witch, actually. Well - where I'm from, at least. I've been told some of the terminology is a little different... Back home, a witch is someone with a small amount of magical talent, and a medeian is someone who can do more than that. They're the ones who usually get scouted by magical academies and companies when they get old enough.
I never thought to ask her. No, I could go back to another version of my story. When I died the first time, I was given that choice. But there's a lot of other stories riding on what my friends manage to do, and I'm not sure I could help them if I was my old self.
