Waiting longer would always mean the risk of someone getting to it first and pulling ahead of your team. Some people want the advantage before the game even starts. I'm not even sure what happened or why, but we at least know what to expect by now. People are likely going to start making their own plans, too.
Not sure yet. [ he will at least be open about that. ] I think it's still too early for most of us to do anything just yet without a lot of thought, but I don't think it'll stop somebody else from going forward now. It'll depend on team rankings...assuming we get those.
Alex would never consider erasing someone. Her primary focus is gonna be finding a way to save as many people as she can because that's...Alex. [ which is partially resigned and partially confident. ] I'm not saying I'm going to plan anything. But my concern is going to be for my team and making sure they don't have to get involved in stuff like this.

A few people seem to think today's trial is going to at least make people think twice before trying something else. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll be right.
It's kind of nice that Alex, and Haru, and Rin - that all of them care and want to find a better way. I don't want anything to take that from them. So if it came down to it, I wouldn't want them to have to get involved in anything nasty.
Maybe you're right, but the thing is - won't Yang Guifei's team still get a lot of points?

That's exactly it, yeah. It's not like any of us asked to be here or play in this game, so...why let things be worse for them when it could be avoidable. Someone has to be optimistic still so may as well let it be them.

We don't know how many points yet. If it's an amount that can be made up by going above and beyond what's expected in missions and everything, people might take that route instead of the risk of erasing someone and getting caught.
Which means there really was never an option of playing the game without taking out the others. [ well. that's annoying. like he had assumed, and the reapers had mentioned different guidelines of the game, but to hear it clarified really doesn't help. ]
So then that means it's only a matter of time before people start picking off teams. We know how the trials go, so it means they could even figure out better ways to not get caught and earn those points. I wonder if you get more for getting away with it.
Guess I'll have to pick the one that seems most open to another text and ask. I'll let you know what I find out. Or I'll just...double-check what I've already heard from them.
If you get caught you not only have to worry about being a target for being ahead but also being down a team member which makes earning points even harder. Getting ahead doesn't mean they're going to stay ahead in that instance.
The whole game is full of risks no matter what you do, I'm finding. That's what's going to make it hard to play. I wish we had a better idea of what kind of missions we can expect in the future or if there're other ways to go above and beyond like their rules talk about.
Let's see if the reapers give us an update tomorrow or Monday after the erasure. If they don't, we'll just...add it to the pile of stuff to ask and see how much we can really learn from all of this.
If you ask and you find out, tell me, okay? And I'll do the same. Even though we're on different teams, I like everyone on your team. So I don't want you guys to lose.
Yeah, sure. [ he says, sharing similar sentiments. ] I think since we're all still getting started and working with the same playing field sharing that kind of info amongst our two teams isn't a bad thing. I'll let you know what I can get from them.
