[she's a little apologetic, but she doesn't want to share too much.]

They're sad. They cared about Rin, too.

[ no - that's perfectly fine. there's a brief crook of a smile and a shake of his head, reassuring. ]

It's alright - I promise I'm not intending to pry. [ more like he was just a little worried, is all. be nice to ylfa and her team :( ] I think sometimes, it's easier for people to run from those sorts of conversations, though... I doubt any of them are really that type.

[ so. there's that, at least. ]

When it's all said and done, a murder has a ripple. It impacts everyone around it - not just the victims and the killers, but each person who knew them, too. We're left to pick up the pieces when the violence is done, and cope with the results in the ways we know how. Some ways are better than others.

So - I'm glad to hear that you were able to start to do so with them.

Buzen and Matsui are...noble. Gerard says magic swords usually are, but I didn't expect them to be.

[so she doesn't have any anger towards them.]

I think it's very likely we'll see one of the two of them manning the erasure tomorrow, if they'd have it their way.

[ he tilts his head - expression a little thoughtful. ]

Because that's the way the story ends.

What do you mean?

Once upon a time, there was a little fox. He was sly, but confident, too. The little fox liked to boast about how big and sharp his teeth were. He liked to tell all of the animals in the forest how he would like to gobble any of them up.

One day, the little fox was hungry. He saw a den where a few little children were sleeping. The little fox knew all about the forest, and he had a keen nose, and he knew that the den belonged to a wolf. But the little fox thought he was too clever, and he believed his teeth were so big and sharp he had nothing to fear. So he crept in, and he stole one of the children away.

What do you imagine happened to that little fox, at the end of the story?

The wolf comes home.

The wolf is the end of the story. Some hold off the wolf for another day, some are spared, and some are gobbled up. But at the end of the story, the wolf has to be contended with.
